Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, KY is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support patient rehabilitation in a critical illness recovery setting. You will assist with PT-delivered treatments, transportation, and functional activities under the direction of a licensed PT.

The role is PRN/Per-diem with opportunities for advancement and eligibility for benefits after reaching 1,000 hours; valid PTA license and BLS are required to start.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• BLS certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the PT.
• Assist the PT in carrying out interventions to meet long‑term patient goals (strengthening, balance, endurance, functional skills).
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
