Select Specialty Hospital- Orlando Central is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation for critically ill patients in Orlando Central. This full-time role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a pay range of $29.73 to $40.00 per hour, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet the patients’ long-term goals, including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central is a 31-bed free-standing critical illness recovery hospital. We specialize in helping critically ill patients breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible. Our hospital also offers medical rehabilitation through Select Medical Rehabilitation, a 32-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The unit is designed to meet an individual’s rehabilitation needs and goals through a range of programs and services. The unit is located within Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central
