Job summary

Preferred Therapy Solutions is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Brewer, ME sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department. You will work with geriatric patients, including short-term and long-term residents and brain injury cases, in a spacious rehab gym alongside PT, OT and SLP teams.

The ideal candidate holds an active PTA license (or eligibility in ME), demonstrates solid documentation skills, and can use Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel to support care coordination

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to practice in ME
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with rehab therapists and nursing staff
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation for patient progress
• Demonstrate flexibility with hours and scheduling
• Engage geriatric patients with a mix of short-term and long-term needs
• Support brain injury patients within the facility

Overview $5,000 Sign-On or Relocation Bonus! A full-time Physical Therapy Assistant, (PTA), position is available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Brewer, ME. Brewer Center for Health & Rehab is a 111 bed sub-acute/skilled nursing facility where you will be working with the geriatric population and see a good mix of short-term and long-term care, as well as, brain injury patients. The facility is one of the few certified Brain Injury programs in the state. The Rehab gym is very spacious with separate treating areas for PT, OT and SLP. Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• The qualified candidate will: Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting
• Work collaboratively with other rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team-working environment
• Possess a current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed
• Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and have experience with electronic documentation
• Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation
• Work well with others in a team setting
• Be flexible with hours.

Rate Range: $29/hr - $37/hr
