Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team in New York. The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and an active NY PTA license.

Experience in geriatric care is preferred, though new graduates with fieldwork are encouraged to apply. We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing mentorship.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage, and assist with specific exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team.
