Lassen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant in Susanville, California, to administer treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. This role involves assisting in the development of treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with healthcare staff.
The ideal candidate will possess an Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistance and relevant licensure, with emphasis on compassionate care and teamwork. This position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff physical therapist. Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff physical therapist, after the physical therapist has evaluated the patient. The PTA assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The PTA participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities. The PTA participates in CQI activities. Participates in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs. This position qualifies up to a $5K Sign on Bonus
