Job summary

Community LIFE McKeesport, PA is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic services to older adults (55+) under a Physical Therapist's supervision. You will implement treatment components, collect data, and adjust interventions to ensure safety and progress, while collaborating with the care team.

The role requires graduation from an APTA-approved PTA program, PA licensure, and a PA driver's license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant curriculum approved by the APTA.
• One year working with frail or elder population preferred.
• Valid PA Driver's license.

About this position

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Location: McKeesport, PA

Summary of Job Duties: Our Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to older adults (age 55+) under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. This position will implement as directed, components of participant interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the participant as directed by the Physical Therapist and/or to ensure the participant's safety and comfort. The PTA will work with the team to develop group and individual programs for maintenance to our participants and will perform assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

Required Education: Must be a graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Required Experience: One year working with the frail or elder population is highly preferred

Required Certifications/Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist Assistant indirect supervision license in the state of Pennsylvania. Valid PA Driver's license.
