Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Sports Medicine team. You will provide treatment under the supervision of licensed therapists and implement a PT plan of care for active patients with orthopedic conditions.

Qualified candidates hold an Ohio PTA license, an associate degree in healthcare or related field, and 2 years of relevant experience (4–6 years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support the Sports Medicine team with orthopedic patient care and documentation.

Job description

Under the general supervision of the Team Leader and Director of Sports Medicine and the clinical supervision of individual physical therapists, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides treatment according to a physical therapy plan of care. The PTA treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. The PTA, Sports Medicine provides physical therapy interventions for a patient population comprised predominantly of active individuals with orthopedic conditions.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or a related field.
• State of Ohio licensure as an physical therapy assistant.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
