Job summary

The Staff Pad in Hamilton, TX is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing physical therapy team. You will deliver treatments according to prescribed plans and scheduled appointments, educate patients, and monitor progress to ensure safe and effective care.

You will also document treatments, communicate patient progress to therapists, physicians, and leadership, and maintain therapy equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Texas PTA license.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of physical therapy equipment and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments according to prescribed plans and appointments.

The Staff Pad has partnered with a prestigious healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX to find a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join their growing Physical Therapy team.

What You’ll Do

• Delivering physical therapy treatments according to prescribed plans and scheduled appointments
• Preparing, educating, and monitoring patients throughout treatment sessions to ensure safe and effective care
• Administering therapeutic exercises, physical agents, and ambulatory procedures while providing age-appropriate care in accordance with departmental policies
• Documenting treatments accurately and communicating patient progress to therapists, physicians, and leadership
• Maintaining therapy equipment through routine upkeep, cleaning, sanitization, storage, and minor preventive maintenance

Additional Requirements

• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide exceptional patient service
• Communicate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals
• Follow infection control, safety procedures, and Healthcare System policies
• Process daily therapy service charges

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Current Texas PTA license required
• Knowledge of physical therapy equipment and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• CPR certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers; push/pull up to 300 lbs as needed
