Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join outpatient services. This PRN role focuses on guided strength, balance, and mobility exercises and requires compassionate care and clear communication with patients and families.

You will work in a day shift on a variable schedule, provide manual therapies and modalities, maintain clean treatment areas, document progress, and collaborate with the care team to support each patient’s recovery.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Skills: Patient care, problem-solving, customer service, and listening skills.
• Licensure/Certification: Current Missouri Physical Therapy Assistant Certificate.
• Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing and walking; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance; carry up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Leading patients through strength, balance, and mobility exercises.
• Providing manual therapies, stretching, and treatments like ultrasound or electrical muscle stimulation.
• Communicating with patients and caregivers to provide clear directions on rehabilitative devices and equipment.
• Preparing and sanitizing treatment areas, ensuring equipment is set up.
• Monitoring and reporting progress, and documenting patient care services with relevant and timely information.

What Your Day Looks Like:

Outpatient therapy at CMH f ocuses on individualized treatment programs designed to increase the quality and capability of patients’ lives.

As aPhysical Therapy Assistant, you will be:
