Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Saint Louis is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our clinical team. This PRN role supports physical therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, assistive devices training, and patient mobility activities.

As a PTA, you will implement treatment plans under the PT, assist with patient transportation, and help with functional activities to promote recovery for critically ill patients in a post-ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• BLS certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions to meet patients' long-term goals, including strengthening, balance and posture training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.
