Job summary

Honey Grove Nursing Center in Texas is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) on a PRN basis to join our in-house rehab team. You will administer prescribed therapy to help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas PTA license, SNF experience preferred, and is comfortable with Net Health documentation. We offer flexible PRN schedules and a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care preferred.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide PT services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to service requests by relaying information to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Attend required meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist

• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision

• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory requirements

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
