Job summary

Copperas-Hollow-Nursing-and-Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) on a PRN basis to support residents’ mobility and quality of life. You will work under a Physical Therapist, administer prescribed treatments, and help implement plans of care across shifts.

The role emphasizes teamwork, meticulous documentation, and ongoing patient education within a rehabilitative, in-house program. Texas licensure and good standing are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Texas in good standing with applicable regulatory bodies.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices and ability to participate in plan of care.
• Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide interventions under supervision of a Physical Therapist as part of the plan of care.
• Relay information to the Physical Therapist and coordinate service requests.
• Modify patients' plans of care under PT supervision as needed.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust interventions with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and progress.
• Ensure timely, thorough documentation in line with policies and regulations.
• Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Join Our Team as a (PRN) Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist

• Implement and modify patients' physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision

• Measure and record patients' motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory requirements

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit
