Job summary

Creative Solutions In HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis in Amarillo, TX. You will administer prescribed PT treatments and collaborate with a Physical Therapist to adapt plans for residents' mobility and quality of life.

Ideal candidates hold an active Texas PTA license in good standing, with SNF or long-term care exposure, and familiarity with Net Health EDS.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license.
• In good standing with licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of PT treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist on request.
• Implement and modify plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength and performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the team.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, families and caregivers.
• Ensure timely documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Attend required meetings designated by leadership.

Join Our Team as a (PRN) Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist
• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory requirements
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
