Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the licensed physical therapist in planning and implementing therapy treatments for direct patient care. The role includes consultation, education, and collaboration with care teams to ensure quality, patient-centered care.

You will be responsible for documenting patient progress, maintaining records, and contributing to program development while adhering to professional standards (APTA).

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the states where you work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting.
• Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service standards.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, staying updated on standard practices for different patient groups.
• Meets established productivity standards for the department or service line.
• Keeps thorough and timely patient records and completes patient billing accurately and promptly.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers about patient needs and goals.
• Participates in continuing education opportunities for self and staff, pursuing learning per licensure requirements.
• Engages in quality improvement processes, including safe equipment use and improving clinical outcomes.
• Contributes to program development and marketing strategies to grow the physical therapy program.
