Atrium Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will implement plans under a licensed PT, assist with patient training, and participate in ongoing research activities across pediatric to adult populations.
Primary duties include conducting therapeutic exercises, collecting outcome measures, and helping develop educational materials. The role requires CPR certification and an active state license, with a strong emphasis on safety
Successful completion of two year college program for Physical Therapy Assistants approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). One year of previous experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant preferred.
Current license in the State of applicable state to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant. CPR certification every two years.
Good physical strength and condition Research experience Ability to work with infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and older adult patients
Exposure to hazardous substances, infectious diseases, body fluids Subject to many interruptions Contact with patients, family members, visitors, coworkers and medical staff under a wide variety of circumstances
