Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation to You is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for Journey Traveler roles requiring nationwide travel for 13-week assignments. You will provide PT services under a licensed PT’s supervision across diverse settings to improve mobility and independence.

Collaborate with the rehab team, document care, educate patients and families, and adapt plans to individual needs while benefiting from mentorship and ongoing clinical development.

Qualifications

• Travel flexibility and ability to relocate for 13-week assignments.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by state.
• Must be available to travel nationwide and temporarily reside outside primary home.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments to varying settings.
• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Attend patient care and staffing conferences as a representative of physical therapy.
• Deliver rehab services per established plan of care and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to implement patient programs.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients and families in skills and techniques of therapy.
• Maintain timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Ensure patient service quality in a compassionate setting.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant - Journey Traveler must be able to travel nationwide for 13 week assignments. This position provides flexibility to travel the country and work in various settings. On assignment the Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.

Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department and patient(s)' schedule, and timely documentation of services.

Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.

Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.

Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.

Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.

Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.

Puts Patient Service First: Ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.

Implements a patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.

Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including but not limited to:

• Therapeutic exercise including aerobic capacity conditioning, balance coordination, agility training, body mechanics and postural stabilization, flexibility exercises, gait and locomotion training, neuromotor development training, relaxation, strength, power, and endurance training
• Functional training
• Manual therapy
• Airway clearance techniques
• Integumentary repair and protection
• Use of electrotherapeutic, physical agent and mechanical modalities
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in collaboration with the physical therapist.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
• Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home.

Posted Salary Range

USD $45.00 - USD $50.00 /Hr.
