Job summary

UnityPoint Health’s Rehabilitation department in Rock Island, IL is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule 8 AM–6 PM with rotating weekends, and a salary in the stated hourly range.

You will deliver individualized treatment interventions across diverse care settings, document outcomes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient mobility and function.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program with an associate’s degree; a PTA certificate may meet licensure requirements where recognized.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program with an associate’s degree; a certificate from an accredited PTA program is acceptable where recognized to meet state licensure educational requirements required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

• Entry level/new graduates are acceptable; satisfactory completion of clinical work required by the program attended; previous work/clinical experience indicating successful ability to assume responsibilities within a team context required.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• One (1) year prior experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in state(s) of Practice required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) through the American Heart Association required.
• Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing carerequired.
• Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing carerequired.
