Excelin Health Services in Irving, TX is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA provides physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist and follows the physician's plan of care.

You will guide patients through exercises, assist with gait training, and use modalities as directed. A licensed PTA with CPR certification and a valid Texas license will thrive in a collaborative clinic that values patient-centered care.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate’s degree approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Current certification or license as required by state law.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct physical therapy under the direction of the physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
• Treats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training, and transfer activities.
• Utilizes physical agents (heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, massage) as appropriate.
• Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
