As a PTA, you will assist residents with strengthening, mobility, and pain reduction, implement plans from supervising therapists, and help with transfers, gait training, and daily activities. Valid PA license and OTA degree are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania state license.
• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with improving strength, balance, mobility, lessening pain, and improving ROM.
• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising physical therapists.
• Assist patients with functional mobility, transfers, gait training, and stair negotiation.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve endurance, coordination, and independence with daily activities.
• Educate patients on safe mobility techniques, proper use of assistive devices, and fall-prevention strategies.
• Monitor and document patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in functional status.
• Collaborate with the other team members to support patient safety, rehabilitation goals, and discharge planning to provide comprehensive care
• Complete daily required documentation
