Lake Lodge Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support residents in improving mobility, strength, and overall quality of life. Under a Physical Therapist, you will implement care plans, document progress, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas PTA license, are in good standing with licensing boards, and have SNF or long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Texas PTA license in good standing with state boards
• SNF/long-term care experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques and patient care
• Experience using Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of managing patients with varying needs and personalities

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PTA treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility
• Provide skilled PTA services under supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist on request
• Implement and modify care plans under PT supervision
• Measure and record motor function, strength and performance
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches as needed
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers
• Ensure timely and compliant documentation per policy and regulations
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist

• Implement and modify patients' physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision

• Measure and record patients' motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
