Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation in Amarillo, TX seeks a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will provide person-centered care to improve mobility, strength, and overall quality of life for residents, under PT supervision.

New graduates are welcome. In-house rehab and comprehensive benefits are offered, with opportunities to work closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Texas PTA license in good standing.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with Net Health electronic documentation is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments under physician orders.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust interventions with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation complies with policies and regulations.
• Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Join Our Team as a Full‑Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in‑house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person‑centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist
• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Or Long‑term Care Experience Preferred
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
• Experience With Net Health Electronic Documentation System Preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
