Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization/TB records).

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities.
• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and proper use of assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and promptly.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment and equipment.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support patient recovery goals.
• Follow all facility policies and applicable regulatory standards.
