Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant ( PTA ).
• Current license to practice as a PTA from the state Board of Physical Therapy.
• Entry level or introductory experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy procedures as delegated.
• Modify treatment procedures within the supervising Physical Therapist's plan as patient status changes.
• Document patient progress notes and maintain accurate records.
• Provide safe and effective PT procedures and address age-specific needs of patients.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity; assess and manage pain per policy.
• Identify and report patient safety issues; coordinate workload and provide direction to the PT aide.
