Description
Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in accordance with PT Board regulations. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Help with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Follow physician treatment plans when treating patients. Support the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, issues, and plans. Participate in in-service training programs for staff. Record treatment changes following policies and procedures. Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge. Report any equipment problems to ensure proper maintenance. Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.

Physical Demands
Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, and smelling. Occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must be able to exert significant force when moving objects. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception with adjustable focus.
Work Environment
