Job summary

Ryans Rehab Inc in Riverside, CA is seeking a professional Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The PTA directly assists Physical Therapists in recovery treatments, observes patients, and records progress for the therapist to review.

When a Physical Therapist examines, diagnoses and builds a treatment plan, the PTA helps patients perform exercises as instructed by the therapist. They also complete clerical duties like scheduling appointments, answering calls and emails and sanitizing

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license and CPR certification.
• Clear communication to explain treatment plans and motivate patients.
• Strong observation and assessment abilities.
• Ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Contributes to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues.
• Administers treatment programs for patients.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updates and therapy histories.
• Evaluates abnormal conditions by reviewing therapist evaluations and test results.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and guiding patients in activities.
• Helps patients use supportive devices.
• Instructs and counsels patients on regimens and wellness.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and adheres to infection-control policies.
• Monitors treatment progress to meet production objectives.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, local regulations and JACHO standards.
• Updates knowledge through education, reading, networking, and professional organizations.
• Seeks opportunities to add value and take ownership of new tasks.

We are seeking a professional and caring Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team! In this role a Physical Therapy Assistant who directly assist Physical Therapists in recovery treatments. They observe patients before, during and after undergoing therapy sessions and take consistent notes of their progress and health status for the Physical Therapist to review. When a Physical Therapist examines, diagnoses and builds a treatment plan for a patient, the Physical Therapy Assistant helps patients perform the exercises and mobility techniques as instructed by the Physical Therapist. They also complete clerical duties like scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and emails and sanitizing the therapy rooms after sessions.. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends and monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives.
• Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations and JACHO standards.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances physical therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license and CPR certified
• Communication skills. Physical therapy assistant must clearly explain treatment programs, motivate patients, and listen to patients' concerns in order to provide effective therapy.
• Ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
• Excellent observational and assessment skills
