Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Therapy Services in Florida. You will help execute care plans, document patient progress, and work within state practice acts to deliver quality care across patient populations.

The role emphasizes professional licensure, CAPTE-accredited education, and opportunities for merit increases and career growth within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• Graduate of a CAPTE accredited PTA program; foreign-trained must show substantially equivalent education per APTA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing the Physical Therapy care plan/treatment as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician.
• Perform clinical tasks, communication, and documentation timely and accurately per policy.
• Follow established policies related to scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
• Complete orientation, in-services, and trainings in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional license in the state of practice
• Graduate of CAPTE accredited school. If foreign-trained, the program must be deemed substantially equivalent to a Physical Therapist entry level education in the U.S. by a credential’s evaluation organization approved by the APTA
