Job summary

PruittHealth is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Therapy Services team in Georgia-Louisville. The role supports the therapy plan, documents care, and maintains compliance with policies while delivering compassionate patient care.

The PTA must hold an active license in the state of Georgia and have graduated from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program or equivalent. The position offers on-site work with a per-diem schedule and opportunities for career growth and training.

Qualifications

• License as Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• Graduate of CAPTE-accredited PTA program or substantially equivalent to a PTA entry-level education in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing the Physical Therapy care plan/treatment as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician.
• Perform clinical tasks, communication, and documentation timely and accurately per policy.
• Follow established policies and procedures related to scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
• Complete required orientation, in-services, and trainings timely and successfully.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional license in the state of practice
• Graduate of CAPTE accredited school. If foreign-trained, the program must be deemed substantially equivalent to a Physical Therapist entry level education in the U.S. by a credential’s evaluation organization approved by the APTA
