Job summary

Angels Care Home Health in Barton County, Kansas seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The PTA will implement components of patient interventions and treatments in home health settings.

Qualified candidates must graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program, hold an unrestricted PTA license, have a valid driver's license, and meet state board requirements to treat patients in their homes.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited PTA
• Current unrestricted PTA license or certification (state specific). Current unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Experience as required by current practicing State Board to treat patients in their homes.
• Therapy skills consistent with generally accepted standards of practice according to the APTA.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of durable medical equipment appropriate for patients with physical therapy needs.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Reliable Transportation with valid and current auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the supervision and direction of the licensed physical therapist.
• PTAs implement selected components of patient interventions & treatments.
• Adhere to professional standards and maintain patient safety during home-based therapy.
