Job summary

Your Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our home-based care team across Georgia. You will work with licensed physical therapists to deliver rehabilitative services to patients in homes, ALFs, and ILFs, supporting plan implementation and patient progress documentation.

This full-time, salary-based role offers a monthly bonus and a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA in state of practice.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for mobility assistance.
  • Pelvic Health Experience and/or interest.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed PTs in implementing treatment plans.
  • Demonstrate and guide patients through therapeutic exercises.
  • Educate patients on proper rehabilitation techniques.
  • Document patient progress and maintain records.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress.
  • Maintain clean, organized therapy environments and sanitize equipment.
  • Coordinate with therapists and other health professionals to adjust plans.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Primary Care Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals recovering from injuries or illnesses.

PTA role performs visits in homes, ALF's, and ILF's. This is a salary-based position, with the opportunity to receive a monthly bonus.

This is a full-time, salary-based position.

What Are We Looking For?

Your Health is currently looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing primary care family. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients suffering from physical injuries or disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, conducting exercises with patients, educating patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises, and documenting patient progress. As well as developing individualized treatment plans, instruct and assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities, monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring that equipment is properly sanitized and maintained. Communicate regularly with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment plans as needed. Assist in the implementation of discharge plans, including providing patients with instructions for continued care and recommending appropriate follow-up services.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Specialized training or certification in specific areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedics, pelvic heatlh, neurology, or geriatrics.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and another language commonly spoken by patients in the practice area.
