Job summary

Discovery at Home is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Florida team. You will assist the PT in planning and delivering patient care, help patients with exercises and ADLs, and educate families on mobility and pain prevention.

Applicants must be PTA graduates, hold state licensure, have at least one year of home health experience, knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, a valid driver’s license, CPR, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state.
• One year of home health experience required.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use Microsoft Windows.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PT in planning and implementing patient care and therapy services.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress.
