An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join their team. Description
Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in accordance with PT Board standards. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Help with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Follow physician treatment plans when treating patients. Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, issues, and plans. Participate in in-service training programs for staff. Record treatment changes according to policies and procedures. Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training to prepare for discharge from therapy services. Report any equipment problems to ensure proper maintenance. Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands
Requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and exerting force as specified. Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, and stooping occasionally. Good vision and focus are necessary.
