Job summary

Buckeye PACE is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under a Physical Therapist, delivering precise, evidence-based treatment plans to support participant mobility and safety. The role emphasizes accuracy, structured methods, and independent work within a defined clinical scope.

You will document outcomes in EMR, assist with equipment recommendations, and collaborate with caregivers and staff to maintain high care standards.

Qualifications

• Active PTA licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Experience working with frail or elderly populations preferred; minimum of one year.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft programs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out therapeutic exercises, modalities, and interventions per the PT plan.
• Gather and document accurate clinical information in the EMR.
• Assist with recommending durable medical equipment to support safety and mobility.
• Provide clear, structured instruction to caregivers, families, and staff.
• Deliver therapy in multiple settings including center, homes, SNFs, and hospitals.
• Observe and report Participant changes promptly to the clinical team.

Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to carry out well-defined, evidence-based treatment plans with precision and consistency. You’ll perform therapeutic interventions, gather clear and factual information, and ensure every treatment meets established standards. Annual Salary:

Starting at $62,000 Annually

Schedule:

First shift, full-time hours. Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carry out therapeutic exercises, modalities, and interventions as outlined in the PT’s plan of care.
• Gather and document accurate, factual clinical information in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with recommending durable medical equipment to support safety and mobility.
• Provide clear, structured instruction to caregivers, families, and staff.
• Support restorative and wellness programming through consistent, task-focused work.
• Deliver therapy in multiple settings including the center, Participants’ homes, skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals.
• Observe and report Participant changes promptly to the clinical team.
• Maintain steady, professional communication based on facts and clinical observations.
• Build strong working relationships with facility staff, healthcare partners, and caregivers.
• Participate in quality initiatives, training, and process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Intermittent periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing, lifting, and bending to provide treatments to participants.
• Must be able to lift, bend, demonstrate, and perform therapeutic interventions as often as participant treatment plans require.
• Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
