Job summary

Evans Memorial Hospital Inc. is seeking an on-site Rehabilitation Assistant to support physical therapy team. You will assist the PT and PTA with treatments, help with clerical tasks, and ensure equipment and facilities are maintained for safe, effective patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma and CPR/AED certification, with preference for prior rehabilitation experience. Strong communication and confidentiality skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Prior experience in rehabilitation preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist PT/PTA with a variety of physical therapy treatments designed to restore body functions.
• Assist the secretary/receptionist with clerical duties as needed.
• Maintain and clean medical and facility equipment, logs and treatment rooms.
• Ensure all members sign in before exercising and monitor safety during sessions.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and positioning of patients with mobility impairments.
• Filing progress and discharge notes; registering new patients for services.
