Job summary

Adventist Health Hanford is seeking a per diem Physical Therapy Aide to support acute care physical therapy services in Visalia, CA. You will assist with modalities, therapeutic exercises, patient transfers, and documentation under licensed therapists.

The role requires a high school education or GED and CPR/BLS certification, with preferred associate/technical degree in physical therapy. Shifts are 8 hours, with daily charting and teamwork across the care team.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Associate/Technical Degree in physical therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy treatments, including modalities, manual techniques and exercises; guides patients through bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance activities.
• Observes treatment precautions and notifies therapists/nurses of changes in patient responses.
• Documents daily patient chart entries of interventions and services in the acute care setting; documents employer and outpatient treatments as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
