Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation in Louisiana is seeking a physical therapy aide/technician to assist licensed therapists under supervision. Responsibilities include treatment room prep, patient transport, equipment cleaning, inventory, and front-office assistance.

• Escort patients to and from treatment and prepare them for treatment
• Laundry and stocking of shelves

• Equipment cleaning and maintenance
• Exercise equipment cleaning and maintenance
• Prepare gel bottles and ice cups
• Supply inventory and ordering; assist in treatment preparation as trained
• Assist in front office duties as needed
• Report problems to Physical Therapists and Physiotherapists or other appropriate personnel
• Other duties as assigned

Summary:A physical therapy aide/technician is a non-licensed person who aids in the practice of physical therapy, and who at all times acts under the orders, direction, and on-site supervision of a licensed physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.An aide may perform physical therapy related activities that are assigned and are commensurate with an aide’s training and abilities.An aide shall not perform any duties that include the interpretation and implementation of referrals from licensed medical doctors or dentists, the performance of evaluations, the determination and modification of treatment programs, or any independent performance of any physical therapy procedures.
