Job summary

SportsCare Physical Therapy is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapy Aide in Mountain Lakes, NY to assist therapists and support patient care. You will prepare treatment areas, help patients with exercises, and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment.

You will work closely with physical therapists and assistants, supporting treatment delivery, patient education, and record-keeping, while upholding patient privacy and safety standards in a collaborative team setting.

• Equipment Maintenance: Report equipment issues and ensure proper maintenance.

Assist with Patient Care: Provide direct support to patients during their therapy sessions, following the guidance of the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. This may involve assisting with exercises, equipment setup, and ensuring patient safety.

Prepare Treatment Areas: Set up treatment areas and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.

Patient Education: Assist in patient education by explaining exercises, proper form, and treatment goals as directed by the clinical team.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep treatment areas, exercise equipment, and therapy rooms clean and sanitized to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Laundry and Supplies: Assist with laundry duties, such as washing and folding linens, towels, and other materials. Monitor and restock supplies as needed.

Patient Records: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including tracking and documenting patient progress and adherence to exercise programs.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that therapy equipment is properly maintained and report any equipment issues to the appropriate staff.

Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, physical therapists, and other team members to facilitate a smooth patient experience.
