Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide for adult outpatient therapy. This role involves greeting patients, registering and scheduling appointments, and keeping the clinic clean and organized to support therapists and patients effectively.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, assisting with treatment programs, and performing clerical duties. A positive, patient-centered approach and strong communication with staff are essential for smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic patient care and equipment handling.
• Typically requires six weeks of on-the-job orientation.
• Strong communication with patients, visitors, families, and staff.

• Anticipate needs of patients and therapist to ensure efficiency of clinic
• Effectively communicating with patients and therapy staff
• Perform other clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering the telephone, taking messages, and filling out forms

Requirements

• Work requires level of knowledge of basic patient care, procedures for caring for equipment and assisting Therapist with treatment programs.
• Generally acquired through on-the-job training requiring six (6) weeks orientation.
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, visitors, families, Physicians, peers and other healthcare professionals.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
