Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) Physical Therapy Department is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide direct client care. This position delivers comprehensive and specialized evaluations, treatments, and consultations for adults (18 and older) with neurologic and/or orthopedic disabilities as part of an interdisciplinary team. The goal is to develop, improve, or restore clients’ independent living and vocational potential.
All clinical services must be provided in accordance with the Center’s Compliance Program, professional regulations and ethics, and established standards of care. Responsibilities include reviewing client referral information (or consulting with the Division Manager) to determine the appropriate level of physical therapy services. The Physical Therapist must demonstrate thorough knowledge of PT practice standards, ethical codes, organizational values, and policies/procedures; show advanced competence in conducting and documenting client assessments; and provide direct client care in accordance with PT licensure guidelines.
Other Duties Include but are not limited to
Documents client treatment—including the client’s response to treatment—using PT template reports, AWARE ASEs, or AWARE service notes within required timeframes. Communicates effectively with a broad range of paraprofessionals, professional staff, and clients.
This is a wage (part-time) position that will work an average of 20 hours per week and cannot exceed 1500 hours during the employment year. This position does not include health insurance, retirement, or leave benefits.
