Job summary

UCHealth UCHlth Med Ctr of the Rockies in Loveland, CO, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time day shift. The role includes a pay rate of $50.00 per hour plus a travel package/stipend.

13-week assignments and local traveler options are available for those within 75 miles. Responsibilities include patient condition assessments, developing care plans, educating patients/families on equipment and services, and supervising staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• One year of experience.
• Registered as a Physical Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC.
• BLS - CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) and active through hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition.
• Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems with patient/family involvement.
• Provides education to patient and family about deficits and use of adaptive equipment and support programs; plans/discharges from therapy services.
• Performs duties including supervising support personnel per licensing laws and standards.

Summary

• Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
• Provides education to the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
• Performs all underlying duties of the job including but not limited to supervising support personnel according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• One year of experience
• Registered as a Physical Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
