Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of North Alabama is seeking a Senior Physical Therapist to join our inpatient team. You will provide direct inpatient care, develop personalized care plans, and guide patients on their rehabilitation journey with compassion and expertise.

The role emphasizes collaboration, supervision of treatments, and building strong patient relationships to support recovery and celebrate progress.

Qualifications

  • Current State license as a Physical Therapist is required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in physical therapy from an accredited program is required.
  • Master’s or Doctorate in physical therapy or management area is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of physical therapy experience is required.
  • Active in Therapy Clinical ladder or specialty professional certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct inpatient care to patients in need of physical therapy.
  • Supervise care and treatments, lead patient assessments, create personalized care plans.
  • Build meaningful relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs to support recovery.
