Amergis is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate, treat, and consult for students in a school setting. This role collaborates with special education teams to improve mobility and access to learning.
The PT conducts evaluations, develops individualized therapy plans, delivers services per IEPs, documents progress, and participates in IEP meetings, guiding mobility needs across multiple grade levels. Requires PT license and school-based experience if possible.
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to provide evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to students in a school setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with special education teams while helping students improve mobility, access to learning, and achieve their educational goals.
Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
Start Date: September 9, 2026
Contract Length: 40 Weeks
Schedule: 37.5 Hours per Week
Caseload: Approximately 40-45 students
Grade Levels: All Grades
Interview Process: Virtual interview with the Special Education Director
Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assessments.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and educational goals.
Provide direct therapy services in accordance with IEPs and physician orders when applicable.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding mobility and physical access needs.
Current Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage a caseload across multiple grade levels.
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
