Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to organize and conduct medically prescribed therapy programs, helping patients reach their maximum performance while learning to live within their capabilities.

You will evaluate patients, design and progress rehabilitation plans, educate patients, document care, and collaborate with physicians to improve care quality and patient satisfaction in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure by the North Dakota State Examining Committee of Physical Therapists.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, designs, implements, and progresses rehabilitation programs, including clear home exercise plans.
• Ensures timely, complete, and accurate patient notes, certifications, and treatment instructions, adhering to QI criteria and reflecting services provided for billing.
• Clearly explains injury/condition, treatment purpose, and rehabilitation goals to clients, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction with departmental care.
• Demonstrates ability to manage heavy caseloads by improving personal efficiency, working extended hours when necessary, and assisting colleagues.
• Develops new programs and collaborates with physicians to stimulate referrals, enhance relationships, and improve care quality.
• Supervises students, teaches classes, provides public speaking, manages the department in the absence of a manager/staff PT, resolves departmental conflicts, and completes assigned reports.
