Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a School-based Physical Therapist (PT) in Wyandotte, MI for a part-time role in a school setting. You will assess students, develop and modify treatment plans, and work with the school team to implement IEPs and 504 plans.

This position starts with one preschool student and may grow the caseload as needs dictate. The ideal candidate will hold a Michigan-licensed Physical Therapist credential, have access to reliable transportation, and demonstrate strong

• Michigan Driver's License.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician orders related to professional area of responsibility.
• Assess gross motor skills and therapeutic equipment needs of students.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and modify treatment plans based on physician orders and assessment.
• Collaborates with the school team to develop IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Deliver direct therapy services and consultative support across assigned schools.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student plans and goals.
• Manage caseload using the district's IEP system.
• Coordinate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to facilitate student success.
• Provide thorough communication and reporting on student outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all protocols including fingerprinting and background checks.

Compensation Range: $63-68/hour
Location: Wyandotte, MI; Onsite - School Setting

Position Summary

The School Physical Therapist will be assessing students' physical development level; providing appropriate treatment to meet individualized student objectives; providing recommendations for program development and student placement; and providing direction to Physical Therapy Assistants. We're searching for a part-time PT who is eager to work with one Preschool student for now and possibly take on additional students as caseload needs grow. Schedule / Shift

• Hours per week: 1-2hours per week
• Contract length: School Year

Key Duties

• Interpret physician orders related to professional area of responsibility
• Assess gross motor skills and therapeutic equipment needs of students
• Develop, implement, monitor, and modify treatment plans based on physician orders and assessment of the student as appropriate
• Collaborates with the school team to develop Individualized Education Programs and Section 504 Plans to address the students' unique needs
• Deliver direct therapy services and consultative support across assigned schools and settings
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to help shape student plans and goals
• Manage and document caseload efficiently using the district's IEP system
• Coordinate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to facilitate student success and progress
• Provide thorough communication and reporting on student outcomes as needed
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district protocols, including fingerprinting and background requirements

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist - State of Michigan
• Michigan Driver's License
• Pediatric experience preferred
