Job summary

Cartersville Nursing in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to plan and administer prescribed therapy to residents, helping restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability after illness or injury.

The PT will supervise physical therapy assistants and aides, may supervise PT/ PTA students, and prior long-term care experience is preferred. This role offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package within a caring, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed PT with current license to practice in Georgia.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise PTAs and aides and train students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise PTAs and aides as part of the therapy team.

Summary:

The PT (Physical Therapist) Plans and administers a prescribed physical therapy treatment program for patients/residents to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following illness, disease or injury.The Physical Therapist (PT) also supervises the physical therapy assistants and aides. May instruct clinical portion of training for students participating in PT and PTA programs. Would like previous long-term care/skilled nursing home experience.
