Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC in San Francisco, CA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for a school-based evaluation-only role. You will perform comprehensive pediatric evaluations to identify student needs and support educational planning.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams, prepare detailed reports, and ensure compliance with district and state requirements. Relocation stipends and professional development resources are available.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current Physical Therapist license in California.
  • Experience conducting pediatric evaluations and assessments.
  • School-based experience and familiarity with IEP processes preferred.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Evaluations: Perform comprehensive physical therapy assessments to determine students' functional mobility, motor skills, and educational needs.
  • Develop Recommendations: Interpret assessment findings and provide recommendations that support student access and participation in the educational environment.
  • Collaborate: Partner with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to discuss evaluation results and contribute to student-centered planning.
  • Document Findings: Prepare detailed evaluation reports and maintain compliant documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
  • Participate in Meetings: Attend eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
