Job summary

Tummy Time Academy is seeking a Physical Therapist who wants a life-balanced career, works 1-on-1 with families, and brings out your inner child and creativity.

As an early intervention PT, you’ll help children ages 0-3 and teach families how to support learning goals. Our admin team handles prep and paperwork so you can focus on therapy. Sessions occur at families’ homes and other settings.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapy license.
• Active driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 physical therapy to children ages 0-3 in their everyday settings (home, daycare, playground, library).
• Travel to session locations as needed.
• Reflect with families on progress since the last session.
• Assess child’s gross motor skills to determine strengths and needs related to goals.
• Demonstrate exercises and activities, adapting play to address ROM, flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination.
• Guide families on integrating activities into daily routines to achieve goals.
• Share and review session notes with families using family-friendly language via provided technology and email.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to update the PT plan and progress reports.

Overview

Tummy Time Academy is seeking a Physical Therapist interested in a career that schedules around your life, works 1-on-1 with families, and brings out your inner child and creativity.

Our dedicated admin staff alleviates the pressure of doing prep & paperwork at home, so you'll be able to focus on doing PT.

As an early intervention PT, you'll be helping children ages 0-3 and teach families on how they can help their child achieve their established goals!

What Your Day with Tummy Time Academy Would Look Like

• Providing 1-on-1 physical therapy to children ages 0-3 years old at their everyday settings (i.e. family's home, daycare, playground, library) using toys and furniture at that location.


• Travel to location of session (family's home, daycare, playground, library).


• Reflecting with family on progress since last session.


• Observing & assessing your assigned child's gross motor skills to determine strengths/needs as it relates to their goal.


• Demonstrating exercises & activities for your assigned child by adapting play to focus on addressing concerns in range of motion, flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination as it relates to their goal.


• Teaching & guiding families on adapting their play and problem solving on how they can fit these activities into their daily routines to assist with achieving their goal.


• Sharing and reviewing the session note with families using family-friendly language via provided technology and email at the end of session.


• Collaborate and meet with other professionals who are part of child's multi-disciplinary team to share quarterly progress reports and plan/update the child and family's physical therapy plan as needed.


• Initial and annual evaluations are completed by a different team
