Acute Medical Staffing is urgently seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) for a short-term contract in Athens, GA. The daytime hours run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with approximately 18 shifts and a $55.00/hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Georgia Physical Therapist license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Previous hospital, acute care, rehabilitation, or similar clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to meet facility credentialing requirements.
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability for the duration of the contract preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop PT treatment plans.
• Provide skilled PT services based on physician orders.
• Assess mobility, strength, balance, ROM, and functional limitations.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation interventions.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Provide skilled physical therapy services based on patient needs and physician orders
• Assess mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, and functional limitations
• Implement therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation interventions
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, documentation standards, and applicable regulations

Requirements
