Qualifications

• Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of National Certification Examination.
• Valid PT license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patients’ medical histories.
• Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns.
• Developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan.
• Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands‑on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Recording patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care if needed.
• Educating patients and family members about the recovery process.
• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms.
• Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers.
• Advising the patient and family about in‑home treatment options and exercises.

Education

Green Hill Senior Living and Rehabilitation -FULL TIME PHYSICAL THERAPIST POSITION AVAILABLE.

Physical therapists examine each person and then develops a treatment plan to improve their ability to move, reduce or manage pain, restore function, and prevent disability.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This job operates in a health care setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the care center.
• Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and specimens in working environment.
• Incumbent may be required to work extended periods of time at a video display terminal.
• Incumbent may experience traumatic situations, including psychiatric, and deceased patients.
