Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions is seeking a talented Physical Therapist to cover a December leave, delivering school-based PT services in Ohio. You will evaluate students, help develop IEPs, and provide direct therapy to improve mobility while supporting participation during the school day.

Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams; recommend adaptive equipment and accommodations; and maintain documentation per state requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Ohio physical therapist license issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board.
• Ohio Professional Pupil Services license in Physical Therapy, or eligibility to obtain one, if required for the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to determine students' motor function and school-based PT needs.
• Develop therapy plans and contribute to IEPs to support access and participation.
• Provide direct PT services to improve gross motor skills, posture, balance, coordination, and mobility.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams on therapy integration.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and accessibility accommodations.
• Maintain evaluations, progress notes, and service documentation per Ohio requirements.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Train school staff on safe mobility and positioning strategies.

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

Ohio license issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board

Ohio Professional Pupil Services license in Physical Therapy (or eligibility)

Job description

We are looking for a talented Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team for a leave coverage that starts in December

Hourly Rate Range: $51.00 - $68.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' motor function, mobility, and school-based physical therapy needs.
• Contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and develop therapy plans that support students' access to and participation in school.
• Provide direct physical therapy services to improve gross motor skills, posture, balance, coordination, and mobility.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams to incorporate therapy strategies into the school day.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, positioning strategies, and accessibility accommodations.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, and service documentation in accordance with Ohio Department of Education and Workforce requirements and IDEA.
• Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Train and support school staff on safe mobility, positioning, and strategies that help students participate in classroom activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or qualifying earlier degree is accepted.
• Current Ohio physical therapist license issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board.
• Ohio Professional Pupil Services license in Physical Therapy, or eligibility to obtain one, if required for the assignment.
• Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
• Successful completion of required fingerprinting, background checks, and school onboarding.
