Overview

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (BSWIR) at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in Dallas, TX. Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute care. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday; Hours: 40; Full Time. Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity. Salary range: $80,080.00 - 108,804.80.

BUMC is a distinguished teaching hospital located near downtown Dallas, recognized as a top hospital with multiple clinical specialties, including Level 1 trauma services, transplantation, Level III NICU, LVAD implantation, Stroke Center and a dedicated cancer hospital. Therapists have opportunities to rotate between teams, expanding treatment skills across diagnoses and developing clinical specializations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs to support an effective return to community activities.
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
• Perform other professional duties related to patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery.
